What a thriller we witnessed in Hawkfield last night! . Our U14 Girls arrived in Hawkfield for their first game in Headquarters.  The tension was palpable before the girls took to the field, a big occasion for all concerned!. The game started off at a frenetic pace..while we took in our surroundings!!!Kilcullen blitzed us with 2 early goals and those Sarsfields supporter's  watching on Clubber we're hiding behind their couches!!   Luckily the defence closed the gates  before Kilcullen had bolted and after the first 10 minutes the scores started to arrive like the Buses 🚌.  If grit , pure determination and mental fortitude are what makes a team well this team have it in spades!! What a great bunch of girls and what a performance!. The array of skills on display were a joy to watch. Kilcullen we're formidable opponents and produced some brilliant football throughout.  The last 10 minutes were carnage..with bodies falling all over the pitch  the Order of Malta and Nurse Niamh in great demand . Our girls turned on the style in the dying minutes to get us over the line.  What a performance!! and much deserved for a great bunch of girls. The future is bright .Sash Abú.
