Good afternoon. Kildare Sports Partnership are running a free Covid-19 Online course for Parents, Teachers and Sports Coaches in preparation for a return to some form of activities in line with the Govt road-map for reopening society and business. Over the past number of weeks Kildare Sports Partnership has been planning on how sporting organisation's will engage with their membership in the weeks and months ahead as all of us associated with Kildare GAA, and other sports, navigate a new way of working with Covid-19. Kildare Sports Partnership has developed a ''Play it Safe'' course, in conjunction with The Maltings E-Learning Academy. The 90 minute online course gives parents, teachers and sport coaches an understanding of best practice procedures for good hygiene, sports equipment sanitation and social distancing in the delivery of a safe and effective small group non-contact training session, in line with National Health Guidelines and the Re-opening Ireland Road-map.The main learning objectives are: To discuss Infection Prevention and Control
Hygiene protocol
Cleaning and decontamination of sports equipment
How to organise small group training sessions for getting back to sport and physical activity There will also be questionnaires to evaluate individuals learning and a ''Certificate of Completion'' will be issued on completion. Its important that as many GAA members from our Clubs register for this course in preparation for the weeks and months ahead. In order to register your interest, individual club members are requested to email ksp@kildarecoco.ie and declare your interest asap. Currently there are over 500 registered for this course so please circulate within your club community and encourage as many to register as possible.
