Well done to our Feile hurlers today who after three tough battles agonisingly missed out on a semi-final spot. The 9.30am start must have impacted the team as they fell 7 points down after 10 mins against host club Sallins, however a terrific second half revival saw the team level the game in the closing seconds. Game 2 against old foe’s Round Towers was a proper hurling game with both sides going hell for leather for the win in a competitive battle. However a serious injury to Mícheál Óg Aherne saw the game stopped for a period and impacted both sides. A late goal by towers saw them take the spoils by three points. With a win needed in game three, the lads gave absolutely everything and looked on course for victory until a goal against the run of play saw Kill level matters with 5 mins left. The Sash boys laid siege to the Kill goal but could not find the winning score and results elsewhere meant the team did not advance. A huge effort by all the lads across the three games and did their club very proud.
