Under 14 camogie league rd2, Sarsfields 3:02, Coil Dubh 4;03.

On a warm Sunday afternoon the U14 girls visited the hurling stronghold of Coill Dubh. In a fiercely contested game where the girls left everything out on the pitch, just falling short to a very strong Coill Dubh side. Aleia McGann was our scorer in the first half with 1:01 including an expertly pointed free.With the half time scores at Coill Dubh 2:02 to Sarsfields 1:01. The second half was a brilliant 25 minutes of play from Sarsfields with another goal from Aleia. Hannah Cash pounced for her second goal of the season and Reiltin Aherne pointed from an excellent long distance free. Eabha was excellent in goal making many crucial saves. Excellent defence displays from Aoibhínn, Keeley and Laura kept the Coill Dubh score down. Beth, Reiltin and Saoirse showed great determination to win the ball and keep possession. In the middle of the park Ciara and Grace used their improving skills and persistence to get the ball to our forwards Muireann, Amy and Grace J. Even though the result didn’t go our way the girls attitude and excellent performance show that Sarsfields Camogie is in a very good place!
